The volunteer fills in the organization’s form with name, role and time period.
The organization checks the content and generates a PDF with a QR code. The organization then deletes your submission – only a cryptographic hash remains.
The QR code points to a verification page that confirms the certificate is genuine and unaltered.
Your submission is only stored until the organization has issued the certificate and deleted it. Of the certificate itself, no names, roles or dates are ever stored – only a cryptographic hash of the contents. If the database leaks, no issued certificates leak. Only the person holding the certificate (or its QR code) knows what was attested.
